1 Thess. 5:16-18
Be Joyful Always, Pray Continually, Give Thanks.
Yesterday was a slow day. Mom, Dad, Dang Wei, and Jeff went to the Adoption Registration Office and The Notary Office to do some more paperwork, and as of yesterday Dang Wei is officially a Batson! Will and I stayed behind to watch Michelle and some other little girls, Kestrel and Essa, who came with their parents. We all watched Mulan (appropriate, right?) and Barbie Swan Lake and played in a play room the hotel prepared for the little children upstairs. It was a good time! Later, when Mom and Dad came back, we visited a store called Lotus, which was kind of like Walmart, that had 3 stories. The top floor was clothing, electronics, and stuff for the home, the second floor was food, and the bottom floor was like a small shopping mall, with tons of individual clothing stores and accessory shops. We bought quite a few snacks, and some candy for Dang Wei to bring to her friends at the orphanage. Otherwise, it was an easygoing day for most of us. But the really cool thing was that later last night, Mrs. Francis sent me a message telling us they were very happy for our family, and gave an update on their daughter, Meg, who we knew had left for China around the same time we did. She’s here teaching English. But we found out that Meg is teaching in the same city we’re in right now. I got so excited I woke up my mom to tell her! Out of all the cities in all the provinces in China, she’s living in the very one that we’re in! We’ve gone to church with Meg and her family for over ten years. God is so good! It’s amazing to see the way that he orchestrates things and works them out ahead of time. We plan to meet Meg for dinner tonight! Thank you all so much for your continued prayers! Dang Wei is doing very well!
